Things are about to look a whole lot different in Victoria Park’s real estate market as the Peard Real Estate Group open their 12th office on the busy Albany Highway strip, says Dea Lalovic.

It’s a perfect mix. A growing suburb, a trusted brand and an office located right in the centre of it all.

And if you ask Tash Welburn, Sales Associate and shareholder of Peard Real Estate’s newest office in Victoria Park and local resident for many years, the area simply can’t be beaten.

“Vic Park offers something for everyone," she says. “Being one of Perth’s older suburbs, there is a large variety of housing types to suit all property needs.”

The tree-lined streets of Vic Park boast beautiful characters homes and it’s not unusual to see multiple homes on one street undergoing renovation, proving that residents couldn’t see themselves living anywhere else.

“Character weatherboard homes are very popular in the area and a lot of renovations are carried out on these types of homes," says Tash.

“Often you will see young couples start out in a little 3 x 1 character home then start a family and not wanting to leave the area, they extend or add another storey.

“The great thing about Vic Park is that no matter what you are looking for, whether it's a large and spacious family home, small one bedroom villa or an apartment, you'll always find something to suit your budget.

“There is also a fantastic sense of community spirit with the area hosting many local events for residents to enjoy so there’s always something happening in the centre.”

Tash says the suburb has come a long way and is destined only to continue to grow.

“The café strip is a major draw card, offering an abundance of dining and coffee options along with a large variety of small speciality stores and in terms of buying in the area, being so close the CBD, Curtin University and the Perth foreshore makes it a very sound, safe investment suburb.

“Basically, it’s like buying blue chip shares - there’s a very low risk factor.

Tash has been selling in the area for many years and says much of her success comes from being a local.

“I have lived and worked in the area for many years. I’m a big believer in practicing what you preach.

“I’m passionate about the location and I think that shows in my work”.

Unable to imagine doing anything else, Tash is excited to be taking her career to a new level with Peard Real Estate.

“The office is about to bring something that the area has been in need of for quite some time.

“There has never been a shortage of real estate agencies in Vic Park, but none were doing amazing things and that’s what I was looking for.

“I have had a lot of success as an agent in the area, but have always wanted to work within an agency that shared my vision and could help take my career that one step further.

It was a no-brainer then when the Peard Real Estate Group began looking for somebody to lead from the front with its new office.

“When the opportunity to become a Shareholder came up, I knew that joining forces with such a trusted brand was only going to make my real estate business stronger,” explains Tash.

Peard Groups CEO, Peter Peard says the decision was not a matter of if, but when a Victoria Park office would open.

“We had been watching the area for some time, always looking for the right opportunity to jump in on the action.

“I knew when I met with Tash that she would be the right person to drive the office."

Peter says the company had been on the lookout for the right location for some time.

“We are thrilled to have secured an office on the busy Albany Highway strip which is going to give the brand huge exposure to passing traffic.

“I have no doubt we will be seeing big things from the office. Vic Park is one of the top growth suburbs in the state, so we have come in at the right time,” says Peter.

Being the new guys in town can be a challenge, but the office hopes to establish themselves fairly quickly and, as Tash explains, they are quietly confident.

“To make it in this industry you need a good brand and good people to drive it, and we have both of those things in place.

“We have a really strong team so I think our experience coupled with the company’s success will work in our favour.

“If anything, it’s the other agencies that should be worried now,” laughs Tash.

If you are a real estate agent looking for your next move, you’ll be happy to know there is still time to get in on the action, with the office currently recruiting.

“We are looking for the best,” says Tash.

“People who are passionate about real estate and can work within a team to help clients achieve their property goals. They need to be hard workers but able to have a laugh and not take themselves too seriously.”
